Kenneth Dempsey-Burger

	Kenneth Dempsey-Burger, age 78, of Pinckneyville, died at 8 a.m. in the Pinckneyville Community Hospital Emergency Room on Thursday, August 23, 2001.
	Kenny was born February 7, 1923 in Rice, the son of Adam and Emma (Dempsey) Burger.  He worked as a maintenance worker for the local golf course.
	Survivors include two nieces, Shannon Ellet and husband Ronny of Pinckneyville and Judy Alton of Belleville; several other great nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
	 He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Arthur Burger and sister-in-law, Stella Burger; a sister, Della Oden and a brother-in-law, James Mansker.
	Funeral services were held on Wednesday, August 29 in the Trinity Assembly of God Church in Pinckneyville at 11 a.m. with Brother Raymond Baggott officiating.  Interment was in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Pinckneyville.
	Visitation was held at the Trinity Assembly of God Church in Pinckneyville on Tuesday, August 28 from 6:30 until 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 8 a.m. until services.
	Memorials may be made to the Gold Plate Program.
	Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in Pinckneyville was in charge of the arrangements.
